We placed these Memorial Chairs for Mark at one of our our favourite places to go as a family.
Over the years it has been our go-to spot as a family for walks, adventures, staying cool, and being by the water. As the plaque on the chair reads, Mark created a lot of memories there.
Instead of a traditional Memorial Bench we chose these Red Chairs. A number of years ago Parks Canada created a Red Chair Project. All across Canada, in National Parks, red Adirondack Chairs were “hidden”. Mark and Megan loved searching for these chairs on our adventures. Together we found red chairs in four different provinces ~ beside lakes, on beaches, in the woods, on trails and on top of waterfalls (literally).
We love that they have meaning to us, and what a bright beacon they are in the peaceful woods on the path down to water.
We hope people will stop, read his name and know he lived a beautiful life that touched so many.
Because he did. ❤️
