“It is a great honour to be the first recipient of the Mark Wilkie Memorial Scholarship. I will continue to carry the spirit of kindness and compassion daily, especially as I venture into post-secondary studies. I aim to uplift and celebrate all of my peers and value their authenticity. This award is an excellent reminder that small acts of kindness create lasting and meaningful impacts on the lives of others. 

As I begin my post-secondary journey in nursing, I will carry these values with me everyday as I strive to support those around me.
